Made 100% of soft merino wool, these blankets are smooth against the skin, not itchy, and are great for wicking moisture away. Finding quality wool blankets made in the USA is a hard task, but finding them in the quantities we need is something we thought was impossible, until now! They feature nice long fibers, soft, warm wool, and a wonderful medium weight of about 3.8 lbs. The blankets are light gray with red and blue stripes throughout the body and are generously sized at 66" by 96". Great for camping, match-cloaks, the homestead, or curling up with your favorite book.

As far as Jon is concerned, this is the finest blanket we have ever carried, both in overall feel and comfort, as well as being period correct. He believes that thinner design and lighter weight of this blanket is most representative of a good quality blanket of the 18th century. Not that it isn't warm, not that it isn't nice and fluffy, but it is somehow more refined. The quality our Fox Hunter's Blanket is among the best and most accurate blankets he has seen.

this blanket is everything advertised it is wonderful, warm, not too heavy, soft ,it arrived in nine days from putting the order in the mail box.

super soft, very well finished, nice and long for those of us over 6 feet, machine washable, 3 season outdoor blanket, these will be christmas gifts - super high quality will last a lifetime.

First Quality

The best choice should you need shelter from the dismal tide. You can count on this blanket if and when you really need it. I consider a quality blanket "essential gear", and no place for compromise.

Amazing!

Given the price, I had very high expectations for this blanket and they were exceeded without a doubt! This is a wonderfully soft wool blanket with a lovely pattern that is not itchy *whatsoever*! Very warm for its thickness and weight, generously sized even for someone 6' tall (me!), made in the one-and-only USA, and its build/weave quality is just tremendous. I can tell this is a lifetime sort of blanket that will be a part of many memories made around a campfire.

It also ships inside a zip-close clear plastic bag which will probably not last as long as the blanket will, but for now, it is nice to have a case for it for when I'm packing it away for camping trips to keep it from getting too dirty in transit.
