4" Trade Porcelain Bowl

The Portuguese began importing Chinese porcelain ware into Europe in the 15th century. It became so popular that several countries launched Far Eastern trading companies. Civil war brought an end to the Ming Dynasty in the mid 1600’s, temporarily shifting Europe’s porcelain trade to Japan. Importation of China porcelain into Europe resumed shortly thereafter, and it eventually made its way into North America. It continued to be popular throughout the 18th and 19th centuries. These modern porcelain pottery dishes are reminiscent of earlier designs. Designs will vary. Microwave and dishwasher safe. Imported from Japan.

Beautiful, high-quality bowls

I bought three of these bowls, one for myself and two for gifts. After using my little bowl for a while I wish I would have kept the other two for myself (only joking!). The blue is and white is striking, and a the porcelain is beautiful. I finally caved and bought myself two more. They are perfect for a serving of ice cream or for a nice snack of chips or fruit. Also, the packaging was phenomenal (as always!).
