This versatile set can be used as a tripod or by pounding two pieces into the ground on either side of the fire and setting the remaining piece across, thus enabling you to hang multiple cooking items over the fire.  Pair with our Rotisserie Set and Fire Set Bag for a portable, multipurpose system for cooking over an open fire.

Quality and crafting are unparalleled

I am curious, are the feet supposed to plunge into the earth or on a flat rock or paver or steel plate? Does it make a difference? How high should it be off the ground, or how wide should the legs splay and do they need to be 60 x 60 x 60 degrees apart like an equilateral triangle? Also i'm struggling to get them to stay up and not collapse like a pup tent put up by a Cub Scout.

Great HD fire set, excellent forge work, quick and easy set up and as already mentioned below, set it very versatile as well. I also purchased the trammel hook with this which is also of fine forged quality and makes for easy adjustment of cooking vessel.
