5-1/2" Trade Porcelain Bowl

The Portuguese began importing Chinese porcelain ware into Europe in the 15th century. It became so popular that several countries launched Far Eastern trading companies. Civil war brought an end to the Ming Dynasty in the mid 1600’s, temporarily shifting Europe’s porcelain trade to Japan. Importation of China porcelain into Europe resumed shortly thereafter, and it eventually made its way into north America. It continued to be popular throughout the 18th and 19th centuries. These modern porcelain pottery dishes are reminiscent of earlier designs. Designs may vary. Microwave and dishwasher safe. Imported from Japan.

Lovely bowl, Amazing service

Purchased one of these bowls a few months ago and wanted to slowly start a proper set but didn't realize there was 2 different patterns until after purchase. I’ve been using this bowl since I got it a couple weeks ago. Beautiful designs and I love the color. It’s durable and I don’t have to worry about it getting messed up in the microwave or dishwasher! I’ll definitely be getting more in the future.
