Long Temple 1740-1800 Reproduction Glasses Frames

$42.00

Please note this is a slightly different temple style than what we have previously carried.

These high quality glasses accurately replicate historical examples from the mid to late 18th century. We have altered the original design and slightly lengthened the temple pieces so that they reach just over the ears instead of ending before the ears as this type of frames usually did, so that they can be worn for longer periods of time without falling off. Clear sample lenses are included in the round 1-3/16" openings, ready to have your prescription installed by your local optometrist. The nose bridge on this style is slightly wider than on our Late 18th century hinged glasses.

Also available with the temple bent outwards. This process is done by hand so the dimensions and symmetricality may vary.
