Customer Reviews
This day I made trial of two newly purchased short hand-forged skewers upon a single brazier from Townsends, roasting beef steak and sundry vegetables in the manner of kebabs. The shorter length suited the single brazier most admirably, allowing the meats and morsels to rest evenly above the coals without overhang or awkwardness. Being wrought by hand, these skewers conducted the heat directly through the heart of each piece, yielding a pleasing uniformity of doneness that delighted both eye and palate.
The iron proved stout yet responsive, turning with ease upon the brazier and imparting that subtle savor which only true forge-work can bestow. Paired with a cherry plate, an 18th-century style fork, and eating knife from the same worthy purveyors, the finished repast presented a most handsome and satisfying board.
Shipping was prompt and delivery by the Post uncommonly swift, arriving well before any expectation. I commend the smith and all hands at Townsends for such excellent wares, which honor both the traditions of our forebears and the practical needs of the modern hearth. These skewers shall see frequent service in my kitchen and encampments alike.
