You really must feel the heft of this nearly 7-1/2 lb work of art to fully appreciate how well-constructed it is. This is a reproduction of a late 16th-century kettle. Vessels like these were commonly used throughout Europe and have been found at a number of American archaeological sites. Riveted Copper Kettles were also commonly used on ships. 10-1/2 in diameter with 9 in tall sidewall. Holds approximately 3 gallons. Constructed from heavy copper sheeting and over 100 rivets by our Master Redsmith here in the U.S.A. The ears and bail are handwrought iron. Fully tinned on the inside by hand.
