A Pancheon was a multi-purpose bowl used in the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. In addition to being used as a mixing bowl, this thick-lipped pan was used to proof bread dough as well as separate cream from milk. Approximately 5-1/2" tall by 11" wide. Made of dishwasher-safe redware pottery; slip decorated, and finished with lead-free food-safe glaze. Not recommended for microwave use.

My go-to bowl
I ordered one of these about a year ago, and it very quickly became my bowl for everything. Mixing, beating, whipping, bread rising - you name it. The shape of it somehow makes everything mix more thoroughly, and the craftsmanship makes it a pleasure to handle. Review by KathRN (Posted on 12/3/2017)
