This bottle is a good reproduction of a typical British “Shaft and Globe” vessel produced between 1650 and 1680 and used into the early 18th century. Made of dark green glass, it has a string rim and shallow basal kick similar to original versions. About 8-3/4” tall, and holds approximately 40 oz. Cork is included. Originally used primarily for storing wines, but also good for vinegars, oils, and water. Imported.
