Although long trousers were worn by some workmen and sailors before the Revolution they didn't come into general use until the 1790's. They are best for 1800-1840 outfits. Made with baggy seat, deep front pockets, adjustable waist and narrow front opening (fall). Preshrunk cotton canvas.  Measurements needed: Waist, Thigh, Inseam and colour choice. And if the waist size is over 48" please put a rise measurement in the comment line. There is a $10.00 extra fee for waist sizes of 48" or larger.  These sizes may appear as CX-125 on the packing slip.

Special note: In our continued efforts to be as historically accurate as possible, we have made a few adjustments to the design of these breeches, including the elimination of the center button on the main flap. These changes are reflected in the photo on this webpage.

Great quality!

For working class personas, these pants are an amazing quality. I was thoroughly impressed at the seam work and the tailoring of the pants. They fit me perfectly and will go great with the rest of my attire. Review by Cory (Posted on 8/4/2017)
Strrong enough for a blacksmith

A 1770s living history blacksmith's shop in a grimy and rough place These trousers hold up very well; the canvas is thicker than I expected. Sharp edges and orange hot steel takes its toll but these trousers are hard to hurt. As far as tailoring is concerned, the seams are as solid as you can get without historically inappropriate French seams. The only problems I have had are inherent in the standard design of Colonial attire. Make sure you give accurate measurements or you might end up with puffy, bulgy seat to your pants.
