  • Jacket? or waistcoat? I would have thought a sleeved waistcoat which they are rarely without.

    • It depends on where the person in question lives. Fort Dobbs has some information for reenactors on their website in which they state that farmers in North Carolina would usually go without a waistcoat and would only wear the outer coat. This seems to be the case in every area where the weather was hot and their was no formal event to go to.

  • Based on the sleeve length, cuffs and collar, I would say sleeved waistcoat.
    Neat wooden tankard.
